Why does it matter? Each external dependency can introduce vulnerabilities and security risks to the software. How do we do it? We don't rely on magical fixes and bandages; instead, we mainly develop our code internally and prioritize the use of essential dependencies. Our approach involves careful updates to maintain the currency of these dependencies without compromising the security of our code. We plan to shrink this number even more to around ~30 by developing our own libraries and tools to replace the ones we currently use!
